Dr. Steven Cooksey is the Director of the Church Music Program at Shenandoah University where he also teaches Organ and Harpsichord. He has over 35 years of experience teaching college music and 50 years of experience in church music. Dr. Cooksey is the organist and choirmaster at St. James Episcopal Church in Leesburg, Va. He shares a wealth of knowledge on hymnody, hymn playing, conducting, organ literature, and music history with students who attend CMI each year.
